HoF: WAAS - 2004 Candidates

Post by cheekimonk » Thu Apr 05, 2012 10:06 am

I've updated the WAAS HoF spreadsheet to include an additional tab displaying the WAAS totals for each year's candidates. The link to the spreadsheet can be found below (don't forget there are multiple sheets) along with the initial post I made about WAAS as introduced by ESPNtheMag's Peter Keating and the WAAS methodology applied directly to MBWBA (including the specific "quirks" of our league and OOTP). In short:

WAAS = Wins Above All-Star = (Player WAR) - (All-Star threshold WAR for league)
(i.e., it converts how many wins generated above a replacement-level player into how many wins generated above a typical league All-Star)

Post in replies if you have any questions or comments!
