2003 Hall of Fame Ballot
One season removed from the most contested ballot the MBBA has had, we add three new names to the ballot, one of who has a chance to do very well in his first year John Ross Riles, Jr. finally called it a career after 21 seasons, 3 Pitcher of the Year Awards and 287 wins. All-time stolen base king, Zebediah Williams, joins the ballot, although his contribution with the bat was only average in a long career. Alistar Sharpe also finds himself on the ballot, chosen for the simple reason that there are no third basemen currently on the ballot, meaning he is one of the best of the last couple of decades at his position. Last year on the ballot for Kevin Haubert who brought a strong, all-around offensive game to go with 4 fielding awards but is likely to go un-elected.

Re: 2003 Hall of Fame Ballot
Am i missing something with Hank Daniels? I ranked him low last year, and im getting ready to do it again this year...but for some reason he finished rather high in the overall voting last year.
What am I missing?

gosh I hope we don't have to discuss LAST year's voting againJimBob2232 wrote:Am i missing something with Hank Daniels? I ranked him low last year, and im getting ready to do it again this year...but for some reason he finished rather high in the overall voting last year.

I'm sure there are 2 or 3 threads about that ...
Feel free to discuss this year's ballot, though.
what I am saying is I hope we don't rehash all the arguments that we did last year - but if y'all want to, that's fine. but I wont be doing that.

Nevermind on the WAAS numbers. We only have WAR back through 1995.

Re: 2003 Hall of Fame Ballot
My HOF vote is also still sitting in my outbox.
If Jason's away, I hope he gets it when he returns.
