It is time to vote once again to determine which immortal will be canonized in the MBBA Hall of Fame. Only one new name on the ballot this year as the slugging shortstop Donnie Rotten makes his first appearance.

It was a contentious ballot last year with only Benjamin Caldwell gaining admittance while all-time saves leader Gunga Oogolagunga was kept on the outside looking in. Three time Pitcher of the Year and two time Reliever of the Year Heath Rockefeller finished third with mixed reviews as it seems many voters overlook the fact that he was both a great starter and a great reliever, bringing some of his career totals down.

For you new guys and the old guys who never seem to remember how to do this:
1. Download the file at the link below. If you can't find it, it says, "Cheatsheet Here." Look closely. You'll find it.
2. Rank ALL 15 players from 1 to 15 in the yellow column at the left
3. Cut and paste the "Results" section at the bottom into a message to me
4. If you can not cut and paste it, just list them by last name in a message to me. Please don't use numbers. It makes it harder for me to sort correctly.

You have to download it. If I allow it to be edited, then each person will see what the last person voted.

With only 5 ballots in, we already have craziness. Four players have received first place votes, and the player currently in first has received two firsts, a last, and a second to last. Every ballot will count. Don't be left out.

Guys, I seem to say this every time, and I'm not sure why it doesn't happen other than that people don't read just like they aren't going to read this.

Please do not put numbers in front of names! If you can not cut and paste from Excel, please just list last names.

Only 5 MBBA ballots to go, and the voting is incredibly close. Only one player with enough points right now, and only just barely, with three guys within striking distance.

Technically, the deadline isn't until the end of the championship. I have found if we don't press people from the All Star game on, we end up missing people. In reality, regardless of when we set the deadline, some folks will wait until the last minute.

Wow...crazy, crazy ballot. All but three in (awesome), and a couple of those teams might be dead. And thus it appears that California may cast the deciding ballot.

There are two players who are currently tied for first. Nobody has the prerequisite points, and by rule that means that the top vote getter will get in. So, if Phoenix and Omaha don't vote, whichever of the two California puts ahead is likely to be our lone inductee.

Five players on this ballot have received both a first and last place vote. Only three players have not received a top 3 vote, and every one on the ballot has been placed in the bottom 3.

hurry up and vote, Cali.

Omaha and California are still around. Phoenix? Not so much.

How fitting that the last person to respond will get all the blame for making the wrong choice
