Shame Kharlamov didn't make it, definitely deserves it so maybe next year. Glad to see Soriano get in this year.

I like the hall of fame this year. Have we ever had a year in which no one makes it? Has the MLB?

Can't speak for BBA without doing some research, but the last time it happened in MLB was 2013...has happened a few (5+, maybe?) times.

I know someone has done a comparison before and I think I remember BBA being much larger, but curious as to how large considering time BBA and MLB has had HOF.

I don't think the BBA has ever NOT had someone make it. Under the original form of voting (when Jason did it) someone HAD to make it and typically it was only 1 guy that got in. Occasionally two guys would but it was point based on rankings of the ballot.

Seems like under the current way of voting there has always bee at least one worthy candidate who gets enough votes to be inducted.

I was one who didn't vote for Kharlamov....

After looking more into his numbers compared to other 2B, he may be a guy a cast a vote for next season. The guy ranks pretty highly up on a lot of 2B leaderboards. He's very close. His total counting numbers aren't there but when compared to the position he played, they're pretty good. Very close either way.
