2001 Hall of Fame Ballot

Very interesting ballot this year. No runaway candidates, which means some surprises will be in store. A few interesting newcomers as well in Glen Groves, Hayden Finch and Joe Belinda. There are some really, really good players who didn't find their way on to this ballot and a couple of good ones in Ed Miller and Floyd Bannister who were removed to make room based on last year's vote. What will voters do with the amazing Heath Rockefeller? Will Benjamin Caldwell get the support he needs after what promises to be an aggressive campaign? Will all-time saves leader and award namesake Gunga Oogolagunga get any love? Can Joe Belinda, underappreciated during his career, get recognition since he finished over the magic 500 HR mark?

When you click on the link below, you will need to download the spreadsheet in order to use the built in ranking system. Once you rank the players, copy and paste the bottom section of the sheet into a PM to me. If you choose not to download, you can just write your rankings out in a PM. If you do so, it is helpful if you list them by last name rather than putting numbers or writing first names.

Get those votes in!

Two guys with enough points to get in, but just barely enough! Three other players within sniffing distance. Four different players have gotten #1 votes. Only nine teams have voted to this point, and every vote will count!

Crazy ballot! Nobody with enough points now, which would mean the #1 point getter would get in alone. All 4 of the top vote-getters have both a first and last place ballot.

He continues to get mixed support. All 4 top vote getters have reasons to vote for them and reasons not to vote for them, and all of them have been extremely polarizing.

I sent you my ballot via PM. Saw my team on the "Still awaiting..." list and wanted to make sure it was received.

One week to go! Still in the same situation with nobody with enough points, meaning the top guy gets in. Only now it is a different guy than it was last time. Topsy turvy race with every ballot making a difference. Get them in!
