Effective immediately, inclusion for the Hall of Fame shall proceed as follows:

1) Players eligible for inclusion this year are listed below. (Note: the "Veterans Committee" may add up to two additional nominees per year).
2) Full conversations about each player can be found in that player's "Discussion Thread" elsewhere on the forum. (linked to each name)
3) Each BBA GM is expected to copy the ballot, and indicate which of those players they would vote in. This is a straight yes/no vote for each candidate. There is no limit to the number of candidates you can vote for.
4) That ballot will be PMed (or emailed) to the commissioner prior to Spring Training Sim #1.
5) The commissioner will compile the votes, and release final results (preferably in the Media Guide)
6) Any candidate who received 75% or more of cast votes will be inducted.
7) Any candidate who receives 10% or less of cast votes will be permanently removed from ballot
8) Any candidate who is not inducted after being on the ballot for 7 years will be permanently removed.

Just to be clear (because I don't see it mentioned), there is no limit on candidates we can vote yes on right?

P.S I very much like this new format.

Correct. I've changed the rules above to reflect that. I'll also see about adding some links to the conversation threads.

Added links to the discussion threads (that also show stats). Will be working on a more comprehensive stats list as I get time later today.

This should be a HUGE class, relatively speaking. Lots of worthy guys here. Hopefully we can clear some of the backlog. That is, if "I can't vote for more than three guys because no more than three people are allowed to get into the hall of fame in any one year because three is special number and way more important than if a player actually belongs in the hall or not" voting nonsense doesn't happen. Which it probably will. Rather than just browbeat people who vote this way, I'll do something different. Convince me. I'll figure out a forum. Maybe a podcast or another thread dedicated to the debate about this. PM me in interested. I could be missing an argument or reason for the "not a first ballot guy" or "I can only vote for X number of players on a particular ballot" behavior. I for the life of me can't figure out what it is, since I think the question we're being asked when we vote is, "Does this player belong in the hall of fame?" In my mind, how many years on the ballot a player has or size of class, or whatever, has absolutely no bearing on that question. But like I said, maybe there's an argument I'm not aware of. I'd love to talk about it if anyone's game (but not in this thread. Some where else, some other time when we can get all of our ducks in a row, and not clutter this space up.)

I'd be happy to sit in on a HoF podcast. I had hoped the discusion threads would spawn one, actually. :)

Can't do today from 3:00-9:00 (6:00-12:00 EST)...can probably do earlier/later and tomorrow.

I could do the HOF pod as well if some of the guys who have been around awhile want to balance it out with a "new guy"

I think the HoF discussion is best with new and experienced views.

Given the that Hall's voting is due soon, earlier is more useful.

Please note that I've not added a link to a Google Sheet document that includes all stats and accomplishments for each player.

No worries. It was nice seeing feedback, especially on players I've never even heard of

I can't podcast tonight. Or well, I don't want to. Have to do two tomorrow and one this Wed, have to do all the prep work for those. Recte, I'd love to get you and Stephen back for a leader-boards thing at some point this season.
