Horgan and Quintaro are almost perfect images of each other it seems to me.

Hogan posted pretty much the same counting stats in 3 less seasons, had a better 3 year peak (5.2 vs. 6.1 WAR) and translated his FIP into ERA much better (26 points better in ERA+). Quintero has a fine argument for enshrinement, but Hogan was the clear choice of this crop and I tend to agree with Matt's 'travesty' assessment.RonCo wrote:Horgan and Quintaro are almost perfect images of each other it seems to me.

I think these Puckett awards will be another item to use to value players careers. All Star is based on a partial season while these are the whole thing.
