2007 Hall of Fame Ballot

Post by jcrmoon42 » Fri Nov 02, 2012 11:14 am

Last year on the ballot for two outstanding players who don't seem to get the due they deserve. Archie Ayrault was a fine second baseman who also happened to hit 371 homers, steal 136 bases and finish with a 130 OPS+ for his career. Evander Kilkenny may have "only" won 177 games, but he also only lost 116 while putting up a ridiculous 151 ERA+. 8 All Star Games for a pitcher is a pretty remarkable feat as well. I'll put in another plug for the great Rashardo Menne, Jr. again as well. Position has got to be taken into consideration heavily, and considering he has the second highest OPS+ on the ballot while playing shortstop, he really should get more support than he has. Next year will be his last on the ballot as well.

Ballots due to me by the end of the Championship Series.

Please rank ALL the players in the top section and paste the bottom section in a PM to me. If you must type them yourself for some reason, use last names. Thank you.

And I'll keep giving the plug for Hinson until he gets elected. 10 All-Star Games is no joke, and should tell you something about his dominance at his position.

Agreed... he needs to be elected at some point. A surefire first ballot guy he is not but hopefully everyone comes to their senses.

How many All-Star games did Hinson get voted in, and how many times was he selected by the manager?

Having problems with ballot. It doesn't seem to be ranking them in the cut and past section when I rank them next to their name. Not very good with excel so if its on my end what am I doing wrong?

Not sure why it would be doing that unless you are trying to do it on the web. It is not editable unless you download it. Then it should work fine.

Curious why all players need to be ranked? How does the point system work here?
