1997 HOF Ballot
Okay, Gentlemen, here is your ballot. The instructions are simple. Open the spreadsheet linked below where it says "Cheatsheet Here." You can't miss it. Rank the players from 1 to 15 in order of who you most want in the Hall. Even if you don't think the guy is a Hall of Famer, you still have to rank him. No blanks in the rankings. Then, cut and paste the lower section of the ballot in a PM to me. Easy peasy. I will post the full rules in another post. But that's all you need to know to vote.
I will take ballots until the beginning of the 1998 season. If you think somebody is missing from the ballot, feel free to let me know.

Might help if the download wasn't as clear as mud.
The download button is on the bottom of the page.

Yeah, it is not the best page. I use it, because it allows me to also load very large files. I am relying on everyone's internet savvy to not click on the spam links. I don't want anybody to end up with a Russian bride.

Re: 1977 HOF Ballot
If you get 9 returns, I'll be shocked.
Our board is too big and bulky to easily notice the ballot and then it's less than easy to execute the process.
Nice piece of IT work though.
Anyway, it's too late.
You are only counting ballots until the beginning of the 1978 season.
The 1998 season begins after the spring training sim.

Re: 1977 HOF Ballot
I'm always a little confused by this. Does everybody not click the "Active Topics" link? I don't think it would be possible for me to miss a thread unless I just waited a few days to check the boards. Still, it seems to be a fairly common complaint in most leagues.scottsdale_joe wrote:If you get 9 returns, I'll be shocked.

I pulled a Rip Van Winkle there.

Re: 1997 HOF Ballot
With 9 ballots in at this point, two players currently have enough votes to get in. One player had enough after the first five ballots but has had a mediocre showing in the last four while another player had the opposite happen.

Very curious to see. I wish my boy Davis Birch had a better shot.jcrmoon42 wrote:Only 9 ballots left! Two guys have a firm hold on election, but there is one player still very much hanging in the balance.

Re: 1997 HOF Ballot
So, my computer is being a real yahoo right now. I have the ballot filled out and will send it asap, but who knows when. So, just letting ya know that I'm in on this mandatory vote, my computer, however, isn't as cooperative...but I'll get it in as soon as humanly possible.

Re: 1997 HOF Ballot
Only a few ballots short, and we currently have three guys with enough points for election. That is pretty rare with this system, but these three have really dominated the balloting. One is so close that a 4th place ballot will put him out.

Re: 1997 HOF Ballot
Balloting now closed. Missing three teams. Baltimore without an owner. Hawaii said he was having computer issues which were stopping him. Don't know about Calgary.
Thanks to all who voted! Results coming momentarily.

That's a pretty impressive return. I love where the MBBA is heading participation wise.
