Can I play this during the two hour Thanksgiving drive to my mother's, with wife and daughter in the car?
If you are asking if its safe to listen to, it would depend on how old your kid is. There are a couple f bombs and such but its not terrible and mostly us being super nerdy.
I chose to be safe and listen to music, but wife and daughter both slept on the drive home so it turns out I could have listened to this!

2. I honestly didn't really look hard enough at 1B to even notice Ricardo De Jesús. He's a decent player at a good price if you are in the market for a 1b/leadoff hitter against RHP. I'd be worried about his declining numbers and how that may translate into the BBA. He had a .720-.730 OPS the last two seasons playing in a hitters park in a lesser league. I think you're looking at a similar player to Erik Wignes. With speed in lieu of defense.
At first glance, I was a bit hesitant due to his apparent declining numbers until I dug further. Bucharest (2049 and 2050) looked like they platooned him, playing him against righties and sitting him more often against lefties. Sao Paulo, on the other hand, played him every day over the last two seasons. His results vs. LHP was pretty bad, especially last season -- 2051: 160 PA/.277/.377/.328; 2052: 130 PA/.204/.320/.231.

He will platoon for me, for sure, to limit his at bats against lefties.

Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.

1. Biddle was the one who signed all of those backloaded Atlantic City contracts. They were all signed in 2050 or before. He left right after the Brewster in 2050.

Well that settles it... he's off my Christmas card list :P

I listened hoping I'd get some clarity about what to do with the Atlantic City mess I inherited, but I didn't have any epiphany while listening. It just seems to be a case of "would you prefer to start being screwed now, or later". The plan for now is, I'm gonna see how the first few months of the season go, and take it from there...

I offered to take over AC. I would have tried to win for the next year or two and then go into a long rebuild. The Atlantic isn't that strong now and you have one of the best pitchers and hitters in their prime. Obviously there is going to be tough times ahead. Nobody should hold that against you when it inevitably comes.

The salary cap increase helps a lot. I actually would have been pissed if I did take over AC and the cap increased. The rise is a lot more fun than maintaining to me.
