Now I listened to, with interest, @recte44’s proposals for the UMEBA. The sealed auction for the players that should be in the BBA is an interesting idea, I don’t know if it would ever work no matter how many tweaks it had. Old timers like myself & Neill would probably be interested in it and could probably make it work. The problem would probably be that either UMEBA GM’s wouldn’t be looking long enough term or as new guys might well find themselves fleeced by canny long term BBA GMs. The “GM’s should only be in the UMEBA for two or three years tops before moving to the BBA” is a great idea, but I think you’d have to be tougher on underperforming GMs to enable space for the GMs crossing between the leagues.

My alternative proposal would have three parts
1. Make the UMEBA a fully AI league with exactly the same format/settings

2. Expand the BBA by two or four teams to give the displaced UMEBA GMs a team

3. Figure out an auto version of the sealed auction bidding system to get the star players over to the BBA. Maybe by setting up a tariff chart for the auctions where like if you were bidding on a 70 rated guy your offer of three prospects had to add up to 140 rating and if you were bidding on a 60 rated guy the prospects tariff would be 120 or something along those lines?

It was a good time….4 hours flew… but the MOST important part was planning on how to get a BBA table at @bschr682 wedding. Unless @Rubaboo +1 IS the entire BBA
