The BBA Today #76 - Wherein I Campaign for "No Decision"
Ted Schmidt and Ron Collins chat about Phil Cole's first outing, ten points of Hugh Mangrouthormone's potential future OBP, and Hawaii ... all before going on a long and twisted discussion about platoon factors. I suppose you can't imagine a better Christmas present than that!

Re: The BBA Today #76 - Wherein I Campaign for "No Decision"
Unless you are Brett, in which case you probably hate me for not giving up on platoon factors. I always worry that when I bring up something that was already a discussion on the boards, the GM involved in that discussion might take it personally. What happens is that those forum discussions in which I hold a different opinion from someone make the think about the topic in a larger sense, and I want to know how my view compares to the general field of thought. I don't think I do a good enough job of making that clear, hence these words.

You also have a little bit of a habit on not giving up on your own opinion, though, as Sheldon Cooper once put it, I imagine you might find it difficult to work on the opposite assumption.Ted wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 10:12 amI always worry that when I bring up something that was already a discussion on the boards, the GM involved in that discussion might take it personally. In the Media Guide, I couldn't bring myself to have Hawaii as the runaway winner of the division. I should say that I'm really surprised Long Beach has fallen so far off last year's pace; they're a little closer to where I had them in the 2044 Media Guide after they signed all of those players.

Pitching has been a little rougher this year compared to last. And we didn't really hit our stride until after the all star break I think. Plenty of time left.aaronweiner wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 2:53 pmIn the Media Guide, I couldn't bring myself to have Hawaii as the runaway winner of the division. Re: The BBA Today #76 - Wherein I Campaign for "No Decision"
I was going to a Viz together when @Ted talked about what are players best WAR years, etc. in the podcast. Something grouped in buckets of 20-25yo, 26-30yo, 31-35yo - see where the #s fall....
