The BBA Today #75 - If It's Drafty In Here, It's Because We've Added Another Blowhard

Ron Collins and Ted Schmidt are joined by Aaron Weiner for some BBA draft banter. Topics include interesting players, reaches, value picks, and the state of the draft itself as well as evolving draft strategies. Before that however, we ramble on for entirely too long about hot teams, division leaders and the like. What is in the water in Sacramento? Is David Simpson human? With Rockville at their rightful place atop the Atlantic, do the other teams in the division still have a chance? Omaha is jerks.
I sure wish you three would have given me advice on what to do with Simpson and his looming free agency.
I dunno. I think the guy can play. Maybe try to keep him.

Interesting and great podcast gentlemen. The Atlantic is going to be a very interesting division, as there are a handful of teams jockeying back and forth. All I need to do is to wait until I get Legrand and Hicks back, and then I can have a full deck to work with.

I could just blast Phil Cole into the BBA, but with nothing much at stake I’ll probably let him have his shot at Triple-A for the rest of the year to work him in slowly. Let him find out what pitching as a pro means

Aaron needs to be a regular!

But yes, I agree it's great having guests. I enjoy having Aaron on because he looks at the game differently than I do, and I learn a lot. It just doubles the length of each recording, which means more editing work, and I'm lazy.

I would never wish being irregular on Aaron.

The podcast definitely belongs to the dynamic duo, but I'll be glad to pop back in any time they'll have me. Like when Ted gets a bunch of free time, all in a row.

See if Aaron is on it means more editing work for the two of you and less time focused on your teams!

Ted I hear that you need a pronunciation guide.
Geauxinue = Goes-in-you
You're welcome.

You guys were talking (I think Ted, specifically) about Simpson being a complete hitter because of his Eye/AvK combination especially. Simpson has an 8/8 vs RHP and 5/7 vs LHP. Please explain to me why Roberto Viramontas (7/9 vs RHP and 8/9 vs LHP) is hitting as bad as he is? Yes, his contact is a little lower but dang.
