BBA Today #55 - Solo Milestones

Sorry again for the delay. Ron and I have had conflicting schedules, so I just got something done yesterday. Hopefully we're back Wednesday. This was recorded before this past Sunday's sim.
Ted Schmidt looks at a couple recent injuries and trades and their impacts on the teams they pertain to, and brings back a familiar voice for a discussion on what seems to be a rush on hitting milestones.
The first person to correctly guess the song used in the interlude segment gets a free prospect from my system whenever I have one again.

Shazam doesn't know so that makes me just as smart as them.

Haha, nice job with the song. I was expecting an homage to Baseball Prospectus podcasts of yore with Herb Albert but you out did yourself.

I couldn't agree more with the milestones. 1,000 runs seems crazy and so does 1,000 RBI until you do the as mentioned math and think about the longevity of many of these players who have been around 10-15 years.
Nice listen. I also enjoy the trade breakdown to dissect each player in your eyes

Glad to have had another great podcast to listen. I appreciate the trade breakdown, also, and you saw it similar to how I was looking at it. The main reason I went after Leialoha is my absolute lack of any third base options in my system. Plus, the free agent market looks to be subpar this offseason at third base, and Leialoha is a workable stop gap until I can procure something better. The overall talent in the league looks to be waning. Of course, I came in at the beginning of 2039 when the prospects were aplenty and the draft was monstrous.

There really were times there it was so natural that I couldn't tell who was interviewing who.
