i agree, it was a pleasant surprise to hear aaron on there (im not even all the way through 50 yet, and just now saw he is on 49 as well). I think it helps that ron and ted are pretty experienced podcasters in this league and (despite their occasional observations to the contrary) are pretty good about keeping the train on the tracks and moving forward.

Great podcast, guys. A lot of the content was about my Mad Popes, but the thinking of three highly regarded GMs concerning team planning, construction, and implementation was an invaluable course for newish GMs like myself and others.

More podcasts of you three thoroughly dissecting a team would substantially improve an already highly competitive league.

The thing I found most fun about both this one and the draft discussion was to see how differently we all think about so many decisions. Often times we came to the same place, but almost always from different directions...and sometimes (like the entire Patenaude discussion on the draft board thing) we wind up in very different places.

Great listen...the rapport between Ron, Ted and Aaron is unbelievably natural.

Hmm, lets see ... two know it all Recte league vets getting along ... I mean, it's either that or be at each other's throats. (Oh wait, that's happened too.)

Just speaking for myself - I think the league is stronger when Ted is involved, just as I think it's stronger when Nigel is involved, too. I would be really pleased to see Ted back among the GM ranks (although, selfishly, I love having him as a freelance analyst, too).

And, yeah - another excellent podcast. The three of you guys are terrific together.
