So, here's a thing. It's been awhile and I forgot that trying to do all 32 teams in one go results in us running out of gas about halfway through. So this turns into a bit of a slog. Sorry. Timestamps present as usual in case you just want to hear about certain teams. Also I listed the grades this time. For the newer peeps, don't worry if you don't like your grade. We always end up being wrong.

Very good, only drawback is I always have to listen for hours so you get to Wichita. Can’t you go by Aviators instead lol?

Considering we didnt give any A's (which is not surprising), I figured you would enjoy your B+

If Ted’s so keen to get back in the BBA he better snap up the vacant Libya in the UMEBA quickly before anyone else does

Yeah. I mean, I figured I couldn't get a bad grade from you guys since they're solid players on solid contracts with outs for me. Also, potentially with picks. I figure Wood isn't a lock for a pick but if he does decent enough, he's a lock to opt-out (given his opt-out this year) which should get me a pick. If not, I cut bait with the cash I just have sitting there anyway. Also initially offered $8m to Hsiao but he wanted $12m. So I did come up to him despite trying to get under $10m. Don't hate it though. I have a lot of money coming off the next 2 years, which is perfect given some of the guys I'll need to re-sign.

I really enjoyed listening to this on my way to work this morning guys.

I agree, I have no idea how the Kondo deal is going to work. Either really good or really bad. It'll be a balancing act for sure with the other guys I will need to pay. I do hope he uses his opt-out after 2 seasons so you're correct in that. It would just make life a bit easier as 2 years from now my money does start getting tighter.

On a side note, I did offer Mei a contract a few weeks ago on a 1 year, $8 million deal, but he quickly rejected it, so I moved on.

Frickin' Fred stole Gracia from me. Sorry, Ted. I offered Gracia all the money I had left on a one year deal.

But, take solace. Gracia would have been a top 5 pitcher for me again this season... and not the lump-monster you hoped.

I' appreciate the effort. I'm also okay with him going to Mexico City. Fred appreciates the Gracia types. He had the archetype for that type of pitcher, including the holding on forever part.

I just have a soft spot for Wareham....

Kind of like Jeter playing SS far past when he should have

Wareham also screwed himself, like I knew he would, by opting out at the end of last season. Cost himself about $3-4 Million I think. He always was a greedy turd sometimes.

In the future this will be 4 separate 30-40 minute sessions, one for each division. Did it that way last time. Didn't think of it this time.

Maybe we didnt think of it because we decided to do this about 40 minutes beforehand and both of us were drinking.

Inevitably we contradict ourselves. The worst part from an analysis standpoint, is that it's difficult to truly rate a signing without knowing a team's plan. I used to spend 4 or 5 hours pre-recording looking at each team's needs, budget, cap space, etc. But recording takes a couple hours, and editing and posting is 4 or so more, and you end up with a 10 to 12 hours project, and that's too much. When we had 8 fewer teams it was slightly more manageable. But I'm not sure how much that prep work added, and I gave up.
