I actually began defending, out loud, the Pacific when it was put down, once again. What have I become?

Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.

Sick of our garbage?

Or, in other words, a part of the overwhelming majority?

Fun as always!

And, yes, Las Vegas is over the cap by a large margin. By constitutional rule there will be fines, and also by rule Brett needs to get under the cap or have Matt start releasing players. We had a very large conversation about this back a few seasons ago (one of a few, actually). It was made very clear to me at the time that the hard salary cap is defined as "that amount of salary/contracts you can have on your team at any one moment in time," and that you are expected to keep your team under that cap under penalty of commissioner cuts even if you decide you're willing to pay the fines to be over.

As a result of that last big conversation, I even added a parenthetical clause into the constitution to connect two rules together more obviously.

The edit was made only to connect two phrases so people would get full context. The rule wasn't changed.
