GM's Corner - Episode 24 - Chicago?

Image GM's Corner - Ep 24 (Chicago?)

Deposed Black Sox GM Vic Caleca and I sit down to talk about everything from journalism to ... Vinnie and Benny ... and maybe some ruminations on baseball--real and simulated--through the years.

Nice job taking the hash of my answers and making a cohesive podcast out of it. That was fun, Ron. Thanks!

Fun Fact: Vic's team in the PEBA, the Scottish Claymores, was named by me when the league expanded into a full European division and I designed the graphics for it. I always wanted to mange them but it never quite dropped for me

I actually got them to the league championship series 2 seasons ago (lost in a 7th game), and to the playoffs a year ago … but had to blow them up this season and start rebuilding the farm system. Now they'll be just as bad as the Sox ...

Wow, this was terrific. Such an interesting and long career as a journalist! You must have so many good stories. And the story about Ernie Banks is spectacular as others have said.

And, as a newbie to the Brewster universe, I also really liked the immersion talk with players that you're trying to improve with the participation points.

I just listened to this one again, too. It made me smile at a lot of points. Very Vic.
