What's Brewing In The Brewster. Feb 26,2020

Post by niles08 » Wed Feb 26, 2020 7:25 am

Hey guys! New episode. I tried to stay on point but completely got off a few times...especially gushing over Vancouver.

We discuss

1.) Mons Raider or Dusty Rhoades?
2.) Injuries
3.) Extensions
4.) The Week Ahead
5.) My gushing over Vancouver for at least 2 minutes.

As much as I like Rhodes for his consistent attack of singles at the plate (he has over 100 RBIs for me this season), I'd still take Mons in a heartbeat. Mons brings a little more to the game with his elite speed/stealing ability.

As someone who’s had both guys, Raider every time. Especially with how he played this season. Rhodes has never sniffed around a WAR that high. A big benefit to Rhodes I didn’t hear is his durability over Raider’s fragility. Hate that Raider is so fragile, but I’m learning that for special players, injury proneness isn’t everything but it does put more emphasis on depth. I believe Raider’s OPS this season is the highest ever in the league and runs have to be up there too. Phenomenal. Raider over Rhodes and it wouldn’t surprise me if the league is unanimous with him as the selection.

I assume you mean Raiders OBP...Which would be top 10 all time...His runs does put him in the top 5. It's a shame he got hurt. He could have made a run for runs.

raider is going to finish with the 8th best OBP ever (highest since 2004) with only 2031 Fernando Moreno (41st) and 2041 Juan Rivera (currently 46th) being more recent than 2015 among the top 50.

As far as runs he is 6th (with the potential to slide as french is 7 behind him), but somehow only 3rd this year as both Thum and Rivera have more..

Yeah, sorry. I meant top OBP for a single season.

I'm surprised how good my starting pitching has been, I thought we would be among the worst.
