I would prefer it if you said something on the lines of, "I see Joe went shoeless." A small change, of course, but it better incorporates my username.

Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.

If by 'pulling a shoeless' you mean stuck at work, then sat in Southern California traffic for an hour, yes, I absolutely did that.
There were, however, no locked iPhone issues during the course of the evening.

Ehh, I don't really mind the traffic since it rarely affects my everyday life but in this case, with PCH at a standstill -- there are worse places to be stuck in a car than watching the sun setting into the Pacific -- because of construction, it was really gnawing at me knowing I was missing out on a good time (and some PP).usnspecialist wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 12:07 pmHaving lived in San Diego for 3 years (minus a deployment) you have my sympathies.

I'm fairly certain lane has called in from the PCH a few times and I damn well known I have called in while honking and cursing at Saudi assholes on the road.

Sorry, but I'm not participating unless I have OOTP open in front of me, otherwise I will sound like Shoeless.usnspecialist wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 12:16 pmI'm fairly certain lane has called in from the PCH a few times and I damn well known I have called in while honking and cursing at Saudi assholes on the road.

That was great stuff, nice job guys! Although I'm still trying to find where, according to Fred, I said Celio Marin would put up 5.0 WAR for Boise (my team news post after acquiring him had his projected stats less than his 4.5 season), but I guess that's what I get for not being there to defend myself...

Re: Lets take a look at the Johnson League
So I'm driving down the road yesterday in my little Miata (with the top down), and the wind is blowing my hair around and the sun is shining, and it's like this great day. And I'm listening to the AFBI guys have this great talk about the league, some of them without even having the PC in front of them, and there's references to other podcasts and agreeing or disagreeing and basically just trying to figure out what the league is going to be like as competition ramps up. And I'm thinking about the incredible pieces we've gotten for the media guide and all the stuff Joe's done with it to make it pop so beautifully--and, yes, how much I agreed with the raw excitement the guys were having talking about the meat-grinders of divisions we've got right now and how this season might somehow even rival last year as the most competitive of all modern history (which it most definitely was).
In my ear buds, Fred made some comment that made me laugh out loud for how true and great it was...and it struck me right then.
Jebus, man, this is a great league.

Yeah, I think I got a comment you made about Marin's numbers in Boise being close to his 5 WAR season stuck in my craw and just ran with it a bit. I do things like this in case you haven't noticed... Wasn't intending to put words in your mouth and, yes, you should've been there to defend yourself.jleddy wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2019 12:42 pmThat was great stuff, nice job guys!
