What's Brewing In The Brewster. Episode 6
Hey all, it's Wednesday!
This week we cover:
1). Just how many hits will Dusty Rhodes finish with, and is he overrated?
2.) Thad Mayer's extension with Phoenix among others.
3.) Big injury news and how they impact the races.
4.) Final playoff predictions.

Nice job.
The two open divisions and wild card races are fun to look at. You touched on all the obvious candidates, but you can't even totally count out Wichita and Des Moines--though the Kernels probably have a better hail Mary shot than the Aviators just due to schedule. Of the real contenders, San Antonio probably has the toughest row to hoe, seeing that they're on the road against contenders a lot.
And Edmonton...what a story.
Fun year.

Will also be interesting because except for yellow springs, none of the division leaders can feel too good about a bye right now, so might not see too many guys resting down the stretch.

Re: What's Brewing In The Brewster. Episode 6
I think Edmonton should probably get pushed out, but I think the remaining teams on my schedule are beatable. We split with YS9 in six games early in the season. Calgary is an important series for sure, but consider that five of six losses to Calgary have been one run games and my bullpen has improved since earlier in the season. San Antonio will be a fun match since we're both in the hunt. Both teams have pretty good offense with hit or miss pitching. San Antonio and Edmonton have only played in five games ever and haven't played in any this season. I would like to get away from Vancouver with all three wins since we're 7-2 this year against them, but who knows. I don't think we'll do worse than your prediction of 6-8 for Valencia, but I'm usually pretty terrible with predictions.

I don't see Mexico City getting the wild card with 4 double headers remaining that is a tough road.

If there is a team that should not be intimidated by doubleheaders it is the fighting freddies.handaspencer wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 11:29 amI don't see Mexico City getting the wild card with 4 double headers remaining that is a tough road.

Mexico City gets 1 of last 5 from Rockville; Nashville takes 3 of 4 from Jax and kills it against ATC, Brooklyn, and Louisville to sneak into the last WC spot!
