Sam Romero is problematic because he's a low-velocity guy who will struggle against LHB. He's still good, but he's going to get over-estimated most of the time because his overall ratings still look strong.

RE: Platoon advantage ... just like in real baseball, the platoon advantage works like:

LHP vs. LHB: Pitchers have a huge advantage
LHP vs. RHB: Batters have an advantage
RHP vs. LHB: Batters have an advantage
RHP vs. RHB: Pitchers have a little advantage

What makes this hard to assess is that 70% of players are right-handed and 30% of players are left-handed.

Still have a little time left to go on this one (work doesnt care for people streaming things too much) but I certainly love hearing Ted continue to say "I was wrong," especially when it comes to the Goats!!

Good thing we couldn't get past Rockville last year. I had 8 left handed pitchers, a park that suppresses left hand hitters and a lineup full of right handed bats. I don't think the better team would have won that series.

This year I have a better record against LHP than RHP. I'm better on the road than at home. Last year, if not quite as good, was similar. California is not a one trick pony. Yes our LH bats are good and mash in our own stadium, but that's not our only strength. The real reason we've stepped forward is actually NOT gimmicking our park. It's that gimmicking our park prevents our hitters from going into a funk that gets carried on the road and sabotages our offense for months at a time. In the two years now since I've made the change, we've been hot right out of the gate, rather than the previous five or six season of having the worst offense in the league through May, only to end up around 8th or so when the weather finally warms up.

I have a quality right handed bats too, and can pitch against anyone, in any park. None of my LHP have significant weakness against RHB. I have no problem with right handed bats. Ask Calgary. Matchup wise, Brooklyn may look like it has an edge on paper, but I sincerely doubt it would have been enough to overcome the vast talent differential of the two teams. Last year, Brooklyn outscored their opponents by 65 runs, California outscored their opponents by 149 runs. Yes anything can happen in a seven game series, but play that series over and over and California would easily have the edge.

lol... You made it all the to the end... just to get that at the finale.

Well, Twin Cities wasn't really mentioned, except when Ted asked Lane if he would have showed up if the Final Game had turned out differently. Haha.

It's understandable though. There's ton of stuff to try to cover when doing a season review and Twin Cities didn't really have much to discuss either way... Wasn't terrible, Wasn't great.. just there this year.
