Shrug. Just realize that Brett and Fred mainly just want you to run your team like they would.GoldenOne wrote:Man...only an hour into this and so much Nashville bashing. Good stuff though. This is definitely a tough league to jump right into but I'll get there. Sure, first few moves even left me looking back on them but they are getting better, at least in my eyes. The Plan will be vindicated! I dont like to share The Plan as I dont really see the value in telegraphing potential moves. A Landis would be great but I'm in no hurry.
Here is some insight into The Plan for you though - I'm trying to make the Goats more into the 1995-2005 Atlanta Braves instead of the 1997/2003 Miami Marlins. Looking to build the long-term juggernaut, not the win-and-burn-it-down version.
Looking forward to hearing the rest of this tonight.

I haven't listened so I don't know what was said, but if you expect an article or podcast to be Pollyanna about everything then that is going to be some really boring content.

Re: A Few Beers In 2035.1
I dont get that sense from a handful of the teams but yeah, if you are close enough, make that push. I'm trying to win, but not at the cost of the future. I'll give the younger guys a shot but when I think its worth it. I gambled a little putting Lee in the majors; he wasnt doing well and is not hurt for a couple months. Makes me a little more cautious with the others now. We'll get there.bcslouck wrote:I think most of us are trying to do that. I can say at this point, I'm not because I'm trying to win with the guys I have now. But that is usually my goal.GoldenOne wrote:Here is some insight into The Plan for you though - I'm trying to make the Goats more into the 1995-2005 Atlanta Braves instead of the 1997/2003 Miami Marlins. Pollyanna? Hardly. Maybe I could care less but just like to stir the pot some too?agrudez wrote:I haven't listened so I don't know what was said, but if you expect an article or podcast to be Pollyanna about everything then that is going to be some really boring content.

Re: A Few Beers In 2035.1
Finally got around to listening.
That was great! And tons of fun. Love the rambling topics all around the league.
One think I need to learn to do is educate myself on the rest of teams in the league. I tend to focus to much on just my team and division.
It’s cool you guys seem to know so much about the whole league.
Can’t wait for the next one.
Thanks
