Episode #10 - GM's Corner Podcast: 2034 Long Beach

Today I sit down with Long Beach Surfer GM Stephen Lane for something shy of 40 minutes to talk about Long Beach and the BBA.

There's all sorts of good stuff in here as Stephen touches on things like the process and value of moving the franchise, building through free agency and trades, any possible buyers remorse on the Ken Jenkins deal and even opens up the super-secret vault of full-staff pitching roster construction, Surfer style.

And that's before we get to expansion and the Lightning Round.

Can't miss TV at it's finest, eh?

You can get it here!

I'm a big proponent of the ROOGY and multiple LOOGYs also. It's a great way to maximize the talent of role players.

Disappointed not to even get a mention as part of the expansion merry go round :bag: Everyone else got a name check but I never got a mention. I think it will take a while to get out from under Stu’s shadow

I thought about that as I was editing. I guess I'll have to make it up to you by having you on the podcast before the others.

Since I gave Stephen a taste of this information in the podcast regarding his team, and to keep everyone on equal basis, I'll drop this here for everyone. This is basic batted ball data for every team, not counting bunts. The data on the game is all about outs (GO/FO). This includes everything. Hits, errors, outs, homers, whatever as defined in the game logs (you can go read a game log if you want to see the kinds of markup they do there).

This data is as of the end of August (last sim).

Stephen, I think you and I build teams fairly similar. Biggest difference seems to be the 'pen.
