17. Brotherhood Why The Early Leak?
Ever since I put a release date in place, I wanted to get ahead of myself so I could meet it. I got to a point where I had enough songs and I felt I should put it out early for two reasons. 1. September is a dull point in season. 2. I started getting crazy and was thinking about making a CD Booklet and rewriting half the songs. I consider myself a perfectionist with ADD. I always start huge projects and never finish them. So better to just put a bow on it.

Why a Rap Album?
One night I was reading the Music thread on discord. I thought about mentioning that my real life cousin is a struggling rapper. As I was watching one of his video's, I got caught up in it. I secretly always wanted to make a rap album. I was like.. I should just make a BBA rap album. Though I wasn't sure if anyone would like it. I get the feeling that there are more rock fans than rap... including myself. But if I made it funny enough, maybe I can pull it off. I made a couple of songs and thought.. this is awesome, people need to hear this. So I wrote more and more.

Am I Goin to be Offended?
I had a couple of GM's reach out to me because they were scared that I was going to roast them. I thought about getting rid of everything that could be perceived as negative. But you know what? It wouldn't be the same. So yeah, I'm probably going to piss some people off. Rap albums are all about exaggerating the truth. They all talk about being rich when they are poor. They rap about hating other rappers when they are all friends. This is just entertainment. Don't take anything personally.

Why Does the AI Glitch?
Cause that's what AI does. There are several notable glitches on the album. The most frustrating to me is the second chorus of Brotherhood. I had hit the word count for that song. So I had a choice between leaving out a chorus or tell it to "repeat chorus"... in which in mumbled the whole thing. I tried to fix it to no avail and didn't want to mess with that song cause it legit made me tear up. So it's not perfect.

Chat GPT and Riffusion.

I wrote what I wanted the song to be about. For example. This is what I actually wrote for "Brotherhood"....

write a rap song about Brewsters Legends lost. Chorus should be about Maybe we said thigs that we come to regret, but we are all brothers even if we never met. Win or lose, one thing is true we will never forget about you. verse one is about Ed Murphy, GM of Des Moines Kernels, This is a rap album so we have to keep it real you weren't the best. But your passion was real and it beat the rest. Cisco and Bunk hold'in it down while you wore that Kernels cap like a fucking crown. Longest playoff drought in BBA history didn't stop you from loving your team and dreaming. I really wish you had won just once. If I knew then what I knew now, I'd make you a more lopsided trade than a nashville special. Verse 2 Next up on heavens all star team is Neil Thomas. To be honest I don't really remember much about you. I know we were both in the Planetary Extreme league at the same time. And a brief run in Brewster before you died. Some songs I copied and pasted team stats to the bottom to give it more stuff to pick through. Most of the player name drops are completely random.

Than I ran it through Chat GPT 3 or 4 times and picked some of my favorite lines from each version of the song and pasted it into a final version. Sometimes I had to fix some stuff so it made sense.

Then I took it into riffusion and played with it. You can give the songs tags to give them a certain feel or style. I kept two of the tags the same throughout to make it sound similar enough to believe it was an actual album. Beyond that it was a bunch of trial and error to make them sound good. Most of the songs took a good 20-30 tries. The AI glitches just about every time. Sometimes the song framework didn't work and I had to go back and start over. There are more advanced features but I just played around with the free version.
