Yes, we grew up watching Hee Haw in the Deep South. I'm not especially proud of that, but I do have found memories of watching, with my dad, Roy Clark picking.
Pretty much an implosion in all facets from the Spuds in Sim #16. Boise only pulled off a win in Atlantic City to avoid getting swept in two consecutive 4-game sets, the previous being at Cape Fear, then completed the "getting swept" in New Orleans for a 1-6 record. The team is 1-9 in their last 10 and on a 5-game losing streak. The final scores were not that bad with the average deficit in losses at 3.5 runs, including a 15-4 drubbing, but a 9-1 win against the Gamblers was the only bright spot. Boise now limps into the dog days of summer being tied for the 3rd-worst record in the JL.

@ Atlantic City 6-8 L SP Niegloslaw Woywitka (L) - 10 G, 10 GS, 0-9, 9.98 ERA, 39.2 IP, 2.0 K/BB, 2.07 WHIP, -0.8 WAR
@ Atlantic City 9-1 W SP Thomas Turner (W) - 20 G, 20 GS, 5-9, 4.46 ERA, 125.0 IP, 2.7 K/BB, 1.16 WHIP, +1.4 WAR
@ Atlantic City 1-3 L SP Dan Boman (L) - 18 G, 18 GS, 6-9, 5.04 ERA, 103.2 IP, 1.9 K/BB, 1.52 WHIP, +0.8 WAR
Woywitka returned to the rotation for the first time since a 13-0 loss May 30th at Cobble Hill and promptly surrendered 7 runs before being yanked in the 2nd inning. Yoriyuki Ine, Alfredo Morán, and Máximo Rivera combined to shut out the Gamblers over the remainder of the game but that was trivial. Atlantic City RF Carlos Allen was one of the main beneficiaries of Woywitka's generosity going 3-4 with 3 RBI. Bucking the trend, Turner was stellar in his stint vs the Gamblers allowing only 1 run on 3 hits in 8 innings of work and the offense put together a nice 9-run outburst. Spuds C Tadanobu Otani and 1B Tracy 'Jigga' Allison each posted 3 RBI. The series finale was a close affair as a quality start from Dan Boman was wasted. Atlantic City SP Ángel Medina tossed 6.1 innings of 1-run ball allowing just 5 hits.

@ New Orleans 1-4 L SP Josh Clark (L) - 19 G, 19 GS, 8-5, 3.26 ERA, 118.2 IP, 3.5 K/BB, 1.19 WHIP, +2.0 WAR
@ New Orleans 4-15 L SP Mahad 'Furball' Einan (L) - 21 G, 21 GS, 8-10, 3.80 ERA, 1.5 K/BB, +1.0 WAR
@ New Orleans 3-4 L Woywitka (L)
@ New Orleans 1-3 L Turner (L)
The opener against the Crawdads was another close game coming on the heels of the 1-3 loss to Atlantic City in the previous game. New Orleans SP Jayin Ranjani dominated the Spuds allowing the lone run in 7.2 innings. The Crawdads got their runs early with the team wrapping up the scoring in the 4th. The middle game looked more like the Boise squad we've come to know. Einan lasted only 2.2 innings allowing 5 runs and only 1 strikeout. Three relievers then proceeded to allow 10 runs over the last 5.1 innings. Crawdads 1B Adib bin Nasser and 3B Tom Guennette powered the offense with 4 RBI apiece while two players booked 3 RBI. Tracy Allison did record his 56th stolen base of the season for the only slightly silver lining (more like light gray). The Spuds actually jumped out to a 3-run lead heading into the 4th inning but it was spoiled as Woywitka allowed 4 runs in the 7th. David Prigent covered the last 2.2 innings for the Crawdads to record his first save of the season. The finale was, again, a close affair as Boise could only muster one run in the 6th inning against Leland Rogers in his 8.1 innings on the mound.

Thanks! While we are miles away from contenders, I think we are better than the results have come down. We are 1-11 since the AS break. But our margin of defeat is only 2.7 runs.
