Sim #10 (recap) added a 5-1 Sim to the ledger right below 6-1 and 5-2 Sims. It's a combination of good pitching and better offense. Either way, there a more than plenty bonus nods to go around.

SPUDS OF THE SIM - SIM #10

Pitcher
Image
SP Mahad 'Furball' Einan
12 G, 12 GS, 3.53 ERA, 74.0 IP, 1.04 WHIP, +1.6 WAR
It's actually hard to remember that Furball is heading up the rotation and not Eckhoff who took that role the last 3 seasons. That doesn't excuse Eckhoff's numbers of late, just an observation. CL Mario Santos (23 G, 1-3, 18 SV, 6.30 ERA, 20.0 IP, 1.35 WHIP, -0.5 WAR) might look like he's struggling but that's not the entire picture. In any case, Santos converted 3 of 4 SVO handed to him. The one he missed was eventually picked up by Paul 'The Hammer' Cherry (24 G, 2-4, 3 SV, 4.26 ERA, 31.2 IP, 1.23, -0.6 WAR) who made 3 appearances in Sim #10 allowing just 1 run in 5.0 IP. Being long relief, Muneer bin Khairy (16 G, 4-0, 1.63 ERA, 38.2 IP, 0.72, +0.6 WAR) doesn't get called on as much as he should be. In this Sim, he made 2 appearances going tossing 5.0 innings allowing just 1 run and fanning 8. But we'll go with the ace who took the bump at home vs Rockville and was stellar going 5.1 innings allowing 2 runs on 5 while striking out 6.

Batter

C Sergei Bobrovsky
48 G, 6 2B, 9 HR, 28 RBI, .190/.209/.374, +0.3 WAR
Holy shit...there are a lot of nods to give out after this Sim. CF Lou Bayou (56 G, 14 2B, 3 3B, 4 HR, 17 RBI, .303/.329/.436, 24 SB, +1.7 WAR) delivered 5 RBI while contributing 2 doubles, a triple, and a HR. DH Sebastian 'Nino' Fradesso (47 G, 9 2B, 1 3B, 9 HR, 30 RBI, .315/.394/.549, 13 SB, +1.6 WAR) also drove in 5 runs while slashing .409/.435/.818 and posting 1 double, 1 triple, and 2 HR. 3B Abu 'Iron Man' Wamukota smashed 3 HR all solo shots. LF Per-Johan Mikkelsson (41 G, 19 double, 5 HR, 29 RBI, .323/.352/.538, +0.6 WAR) drummed up 4 doubles (doubles are kind of his "thing") and a HR to drive in 4 runs. So why is a guy who hit 4 doubles not the SotS? Because someone drove in 8 runs. 8 runs in 5 games. That's Bobrovsky. He is your typical defensive catcher in that nothing is expected from his bat so when he busts out a bit it's noticeable. He delivered a double as well in earning the nod.

Sim #10: SP Mahad 'Furball' Einan, C Sergei Bobrovsky
Sim #9: SP Doug Eckhoff, 1B Pedro 'The Russian Rocket' Hozven
Sim #7: SP Doug Eckhoff, DH Sebastian 'Nino' Fradesso
Sim #6: SP Jeremy Nickerson, LF Per-Johan Mikkelsson
Sim #5: SP Robert Hanson, 1B Pedro 'The Russian Rocket' Hozven
Sim #4: RP Muneer bin Khairy, LF Per-Johan Mikkelsson
Sim #3: SP Jeremy Nickerson, LF Per-Johan Mikkelsson
Sim #1: SP Mahad Einan, 1B Pedro Pedro 'The Russian Rocket' Hozven
