Sim #13 (recap here) was a coming out party for one Spuds pitcher and a 5-2 Sim that catapulted the team to the top spot in the JL Frontier. Boise wrapped up a sweep of Atlantic City, split a 4-game set in Brooklyn, and took the first 2 games of a series at home vs the Charlotte Flyers.

Ace SP Doug Eckhoff collected 2 wins in Sim #13 as he went 12.0 innings over 2 starts allowing 3 runs on 9 hits while fanning 9. P Marvin Winston dealt from the bullpen in this Sim and covered 6.1 shutout innings. But, for the 2nd Sim in a row, the star was the newly-promoted, 22yo CL Mario Santos. He was handed 5 save opps in the 7 games and converted all of them to bring his season total to 8 in just 7.1 innings pitched at the ML level.
