Reading the Sim #15 recap is not encouraging. We're gonna call it just another bad week. Problem is Boise needs some good weeks sprinkled in as they now sit 0.5 games outside of the playoffs. Rocky Mountain and Calgary are hot and Boise is looking up at 3 teams in the Frontier with leader Mexico City holding a 4.5 game lead.

SPUDS OF THE SIM - SIM #15

Image
P Ommar bin Ayyub
19 G, 19 GS, 6-5, 103.1 IP, 4.70 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, +1.0 WAR

bin Ayyub faced Calgary in what would be a 2-8 loss. But the righty went 7 innings in his start and, although allowing 3 runs, he was touched for only 4 hits and fanned 7. On a short week, that'll fly.

Image
1B Bastião Fardos
89 G, 26 2B, 3 3B, 20 HR, 68 RBI, .285/.321/.539, 7 SB, +2.0 WAR

At least one Spud came out of the break with little rust. Bastião Fardos delivered 6 RBI during the Sim, including a HR during the final game, and 2 doubles while slashing .300/.385/.800. Fardos is an everyday force and GM Ben Teague probably needs to reexamine the lineup to prepare for the last half of 2056.
