QUARTET OF BOISE PLAYERS CONTRIBUTE TO JOHNSON LEAGUE VICTORY IN ALL-STAR GAME
26yo P Logan Hill
17 G, 17 GS, 8-2, 106.0 IP, 3.40 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 3.2 WAR
Four members of the Boise Spuds were elected to represent the Johnson League in the All-Star game and all 4 got some playing time for their memories. SP Logan Hill came on in the 8th inning and needed only 7 pitches to sit the FL stars down. He earned a hold for the effort. Reliever
Toshikuni Kubo came on before Hill, in the 6th, and fanned Omaha RF André Ly and Portland's RF Aires Penharanda while finishing his shutout inning in 11 pitches.
Third baseman Gary Allen came on as a pinch hitter in the 8th and flew out to left field. Catcher Andy Elmer took over catching duties from Montreal's Calvin Johnson in the 9th but had no plate appearances.
