Salt Lake City multi-sport star Fernando Rangel has decided to discontinue his baseball career and focus full-time on his football career.
Despite his love of baseball, Rangel says he likes his prospects on the gridiron better than the diamond.
"It was a tough decision, but I think this is the right one for me," said the Alpines reliever.
Rangel, considered to be a standout defensive end, is projected as a late 1st or 2nd round pick in the upcoming draft.

Rangel had just been named the Triple-A's Rupert Horn Memorial League Reliever of the Year Award in 2042. Rangel joins former top Hawaii Tropics prospect Luis Mendoza as players to jump from the BBA to the NFL this off-season.
