GAME OF THE WEEK: Thanks to a 5-for-5 performance from team captain Dennis French, Boise took both games in a home doubleheader against visiting Brooklyn on July 14th. French singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Ramírez in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th, all leading to four runs scored, more than enough to knock off the Robins 10-2. Opener Bill Carter went four strong innings, allowing just three hits and no runs.

DOWN ON THE FARM: Salt Lake City (AAA) went 4-3 and find themselves in first place of the Western Division with a 61-40 record...starter Felipe Rosado threw his second consecutive complete game on July 16th, a 12 K performance against Dodge City...Weymouth (AA) reeled off six straight wins before dropping the final game of the week...the Irish are 10 games back of the division lead with a 53-48 record...a 5-2 week by Tulsa (A) upped their record on the year to 47-54, however the Ginzels are still in fifth place in the Gulf Coast Division...rookie Francisco Morales (2041 18th-round pick) got his first win of the season thanks to a complete game, two-hit shutout on July 18th...despite a 3.31 ERA and 1.13 WHIP, Morales has a 1-6 record to start his professional career...Hot Springs (Short Season) took four of six to inch closer to .500 (24-26)...Tijuana (Rookie) won two games sandwiched between four losses, dropping their record to 27-23...the Cutthroats are in second place in the Mexican-American Division, however a distant nine games back of first
