ORE-IDA® TATER-TOTS EMOJI SUMMARY OF THE WEEK:
HITTER OF THE WEEK: Jared Gillstrom - 11-for-29, 3 HR, 9 RBI (.379 AVG, 1.265 OPS)
PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Frank Metcalf - 2 G, 11.2 IP, 1-0, 8 K/2 BB (1.54 ERA, 1.03 WHIP)
GAME OF THE WEEK: Much of Boise's success in 2041 can be attributed to their incredible offense, but when it came down to it, one hit was all the Spuds needed to squeak out a 1-0 win over Montreal on July 4th. Montreal starter Fernando Morán was nearly untouchable, going eight complete innings and allowing just a double to Dennis French. Thanks to reserve outfielder and designated hitter Adam Parrish, his seventh-inning sacrifice fly drove home the game's only run, allowing French to score. Boise's starter Frank Metcalf pitched five scoreless innings before handing the ball off to relievers Laurent Durand (2 IP, 0 H, 5 K) and Jorge Maestas (2 IP, 1 H, 3 K). After the game, Parrish told reporters "The old adage is true: good pitching stops good hitting."
