Image WEEK IN REVIEW (4-3): For only a second time in two months, Boise strung together a winning week, taking four of five after dropping the first two games on the schedule.

ORE-IDA® TATER-TOTS EMOJI SUMMARY OF THE WEEK: 🔙 🔛 🛤️ ❓

HITTERS OF THE WEEK: Yunosuke Terada - 5-for-12, 3 HR, 5 RBI (.417 AVG, 1.667 OPS)

GAME OF THE WEEK: The Spuds won three times in a four-game series at home against Twin Cities, punctuated by an 11-4 victory on August 1st. Down 4-0 to the River Monsters after just three innings, Boise's offense rose to the occasion, cutting the lead in half in the 4th inning with solo home runs by Dennis French and Allan MacHugh. Then in the sixth inning, the Spuds scored six times to take the lead for good, helped by a grand slam by French against Twin Cities All-Star reliever Lorenzo de' Medici. Boise tacked on three more insurance runs in the 8th inning and Félix Alvarado recorded a seven-out save to close the game.

Román will live to regret not signing with the Spuds. What if he ends up in Huntsville/Chicago once he graduates? College degree won’t get you outta that kettle of fish, smart guy ...

I could see him in 2044 in Chicago pulling double-duty as a middle reliever for the Black Sox and CFO for South Side Towing...someone smart has to cook the books for Vroom Vroom Vitale.

Vroom Vroom cooking the books? Perish the thought. That's like suggesting he paid off the Calumet City Board of Zoning Appeals to bury the environmental impact statement on the new Black Sox Park. I'll have you know there were no witnesses - well, no reputable witnesses - to that conversation ...

There's going to be a lot of holes being dug during the construction of the new ballpark and a lot of problems can be buried in those holes...

Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.
