Tater Talk: 2039.40 – Week in Review, 7/21-7/27

Image WEEK IN REVIEW (2-4): After dropping two of six during the week, the third-place Spuds are under .500 for the month of July (11-12) and have fallen further back in the Frick Wild Card race (5½ games behind last spot).

ORE-IDA® TATER-TOTS EMOJI SUMMARY OF THE WEEK: 🙇😭

HITTER OF THE WEEK: Yunosuke Terada - 10-for-18, 3 HR, 7 RBI (.556 AVG, 1.736 OPS)

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Mario Contreras - 0-1, 3 G, 9⅓ IP, 2 ER, 10 K, 3 BB (1.93 ERA, 0.86 WHIP)

GAME OF THE WEEK: With Edmonton playing much better in the second-half of the season, they've creeped up the Frontier League standings and have been threatening to pass Boise. Luckily, the Spuds were able to keep the defending Landis Champions at-bay -- for now -- thanks to a 6-2 win over the Jackrabbits on July 25th. Pancho Germán continued his breakout season, giving the home team seven solid innings of one-run ball. Terada and Carlos Muñóz each chipped in with two-run homers, which was all Boise needed before Timofei Bakitski notched his second save since joining the Spuds via trade on July 14th.

Looks like it's time to trade me French and begin the rebuild, because he's just getting fried in Boise...
