Tater Talk: 2039.35 – Week in Review, 6/24-6/30

Image WEEK IN REVIEW (3-3): Thanks to two wins against California to close the week, the Spuds drew even over the last seven days. Despite going 9-17 in June, the Spuds find themselves only three games back of division-leading Calgary.

ORE-IDA® TATER-TOTS EMOJI SUMMARY OF THE WEEK: 🤕 ➡️ 🆕📆, 🤞

HITTER OF THE WEEK: Ramón Vela - 10-for-24, 2 HR, 5 RBI (.417 AVG, 1.167 OPS)

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Tomás Chávez - 2 W, 6⅓ IP, 2.84 ERA

GAME OF THE WEEK: Behind a complete-game, three-hit shutout by Maxence Mace, Boise defeated California on June 30th to take two of three from the Pacific Division juggernauts. Mace worked quick and effectively, allowing only four baserunners on the day and was awarded with the win thanks to a solo home run in the 2nd inning from Vela and an insurance, two-out RBI in the 8th inning by Carlos Muñóz. The win capped the three-game series with the Crusaders in which the Spuds won two and prevented yet another losing week.

Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.
