GAME OF THE WEEK: The Spuds finished a rough week with a vintage standout performance from Egbert Behner, who threw a complete-game shutout on June 16th, a 2-0 win over Des Moines. Behner allowed only four hits, walking one and striking out five Kernels hitters to secure a much-needed victory. Boise got its two runs via solo shots by Yunosuke Terada and Pedro Nava.

NEWS AND NOTES: The reshuffled lineup continues to do well, however the bottom-half of the Spuds lineup has scuffled of late...the biggest news out of Boise was their failure to sign 2039 second-round draft pick Martin Román, who will continue his playing in college...Boise had offered the prep pitcher a signing bonus of $4.7M but it was not enough...the Spuds will receive a second-round pick in the 2040 draft as compensation for the loss of Román...after being removed from the closer's role, Tom Warren continued to struggle, allowing four runs in two relief appearances, including a blown save in a 9-4 loss to Des Moines on June 14th...Warren was optioned to Salt Lake City (AAA) and swingman Jeff Whitney was recalled to take Warren's place in the bullpen...Whitney last pitched in the BBA in 2036 for San Bernadino
