Boise 2038.11 - Can Frenchy Do it

So, we're 103 games into the season and Boise just suffered an embarrassing sweep by the Yellow something or other 9...I think we got outscored 21-4 or something embarrassing of that nature. We came back and beat up Omaha, taking 2 of 3. Overall Boise has started to fade, which isn't surprising give the state of the rotation....
That said, Dennis French continues to hit his way toward a place in the record books. Back in 2029, one Holden Blackwell produced 256 hits in a single season, setting a BBA record for hits in a single season. Whilst Frenchy has "cooled off" a bit (currently only hitting .344 in July), he is still riding a 14 game hitting streak at the moment and is on pace to amass 258-ish hits this season. He's also on pace to get on base a total of 307-ish times this season. He's also on pace to produce 412 Total Bases; this wouldn't be a record or even really close, but it's impressive. Overall, I think it would be a bit of an upset if he broke the single season hit record at the ripe old age of 21, but if he has a chance to do it we will run his buttocks out there everyday.
Tater Tots:
- Boise is gearing up to get Maxim Makin back in the rotation in mid to late August and Jorge Baez should get a few starts the last 3 weeks or so in the season.
- Dave Walsh is having an amazing rookie season out of the bullpen. The questions are: 1) Will he receive any consideration as a ROY candidate as a RP and 2) Will he be seriously considered as a candidate for RP of the year? It should be an interesting run down the stretch.
