2035.16 Week 11 and at least Ken Gerhart did well

With the team scuffling in place (partly due to injury, partly due to we suck), instant fan favorite JJ McQuade and slugger Juan Parra were sent out of town for spare parts and a good future 1B. On top of that, another injury struck the rotation and with all those factors added up you get a bad 2-5 week. The offense outside of Ken Gerhart was atrocious and the pitching was even worse than that. The only silver lining to be found would be that the teams emphasis on power has really shown up with yet another double digit homerun performance for the week.

The draft has come and it remains to be seen just what kind of impact the first batch of Boise youngsters will have. The obvious headliner would be 2nd overall pick SP Pancho German. German is only 19 but considerably developed. He does however lack the top end talent one would expect from a 2nd overall pick but at the same time, Boise needs players period and soon. Whether German signs with the team or is thrown back for a chance at a better player next year likely will be decided by just how much money German wants to sign for.
