Boise put up a 3-3 week. On the face of it, that's pretty good being and expansion team and all. Digging a little deeper, its actually amazing we won any games. The team had a .183 batting average. That's not exactly ideal. Team OBP? .230... That's pretty awful to say the least. OPS? .555... Wow how did we even win any games?
Pitching and homeruns thats how. As bad as the bats were, we still knocked 7 balls out of the park. The pitching was amazing as well, especially the bullpen. Caleb Benavides allowed 1 earned run. That was the only run the bullpen got charged with the whole week. Thats nice. The starters put in great work as well. Tavio was tavio again. Mace has maybe righted the ship a bit and McCray keeps lowering those season numbers. Perhaps next week the bats can wake up while the pitchers keep going like this?
