Getting close to the end of the first month of the season and Boise pulled of a 3-3 week. Not terribly exciting but perhaps a bit misleading. For those silver lining seekers, 2 of those 3 losses were against Calgary the odds on favorite to take the division. Avoiding the sweep against them and taking care of business against the rest of the schedule is probably a pretty good outcome.
Breaking it down a bit we have to start with Tavio. Coming off his back to back complete games last week, Tavio pulled off yet another complete game shutout. For those that struggle with math, that's 27 innings out of a possible 27 innings in his last 3 games with a single run scored against. That's pretty ok... Apparently tired of being shown up by a fellow vet, Leon Flores has risen from the ashes of his once promising career and he also tossed a complete game and had a great week.
Offensively the team continues to yet again bomb teams into submission with Dave Molina awaking from his early season coma to lead the way for the bats. Porker was excellent yet again as was young Jose Rivera. Only Juan Parra struggled and yet he still managed to contribute a couple HR's.

The great thing about Ciccolella's performance is that he's doing it with a fair economy of pitches.

Now the question is, how much do I have to get for him in a trade? I have had nibbles but no solid offers. He is expensive so I kinda think he is just gonna ride out the year here in Boise. Might even get me a comp pick at this rate.

tavio is great for a team as an innings eater and leader of the staff (even if not the ace).
