Sim #6 (recap) saw the Boise offense collapse into nigh unrecognizable pieces while the pitching staff went above and beyond to cover their ass. Taking out the 7-1 victory vs Phoenix, the Spuds lost 6 games by an average of 1.8 runs. Again setting aside the 7-1 win, the offense happen to manage only 1.8 runs/game which is eerie to be honest.
SPUDS OF THE SIM - SIM #6

SP Doug Eckhoff
7 G, 7 GS, 1-2, 1.43 ERA, 50.1 IP, 0.83 WHIP, +1.2 WAR
Starting pitching was not the issue in the 1-6 Sim as it shone brightly. The Spuds got brilliant starts from SP Juan Guzmán, SP Marvin 'Groucho' Winston, and SP Waseem bin Suhayb. Setup man Samir Qasim made 3 appearances in relief allowing no runs and just one hit. But we'll go with Eckhoff for his start vs Mexico City on the 9th where he tossed 7.2 innings of 1-run ball scattering 5 hits while fanning 7.

LF Martin Hemming
28 G, 5 2B, 3 HR, 12 RBI, .318/.333/.445, 4 SB, +0.6 WAR
Boy, you really have to hold your nose and dig deep to find any redeeming numbers for this Spuds offense in Sim #6. SS Dan Raymond provided 4 RBI and C Sergei Bobrovsky delivered 3 doubles on a .318/.348/.455 slash. But Hemming actually had a good Sim. Starting all 7 games, the leftfielder posted a slash of .409/.409/.591 with a double, home run, and 3 RBI. Now let's move on...
