Brutal. Incompetent. Embarrassing. The Spuds were manhandled in Sim #2 being swept in a 4-game set v Jacksonville and then a 3-game series @ Rocky Mountain. There was simply nothing productive or positive in this 0-7 Sim. Boise was outscored 7.7 - 3.6. None of the games were even close leaving GM Ben Teague hapless and hopeless. There's nowhere to go but up...or sideways, too.

v Jacksonville 2-8 L
v Jacksonville 5-7 L
v Jacksonville 1-5 L
v Jacksonville 1-6 L
It's hard to know what to say thus far regarding righty starter Geoffrey Greening. It could be a sophomore jinx, or that he's not warmed up yet, or he just sucks. In any case, Jacksonville opened the game putting 3 runs on him then added 3 more before the coach mercifully yanked him. By the 3rd inning the Spuds were down 7-0. 2B Marcello Custello opened his Spuds account with his first HR and had 5 total bases. The opener was made more humbling due to 2056 Boise starter Gavrilovich Mastinsky. Boise starter David Molina had a pretty good outing in the 2nd game allowing only 2 runs and left the field tied 2-2, but the bullpen was a mess allowing 5 runs and the Spuds offense couldn't keep up. Righty Ommar bin Ayyub got the start in the 3rd game and allowed 8 hits in 5.1 innings setting up a loss while the Boise offense managed only 5 hits. The offense managed only 2 hits in the finale while the Hurricanes jumped on starter Marvin Winston for 4 runs in the 1st inning and the Spuds left Jacksonville with their tails between their legs.

@ Rocky Mountain 7-10 L
@ Rocky Mountain 6-8 L
@ Rocky Mountain 3-10 L
Boise next traveled to Colorado Springs to face the Oysters. Spuds ace Logan Hill was yanked in the 3rd inning down 7-0. The offense actually plated 5 runs in the 5th inning thanks to RF Cinema Jones who totaled 3 RBI on the day. It was back to Greening in game #2 and he got pounded allowing 2 runs in the 1st, 3 runs in the 2nd, and 1 in the 3rd before being ceremoniously removed. Boise again had a productive 5th inning scoring 4 runs but relievers Bill Keefe and Jeff Doane couldn't keep the Oysters at bay. SS Qutuz Mahdi continued a hot week going 2-4 with 3 RBI. On getaway day, Molina actually had a great outing allowing 1 run in 5 innings but, yet again, the bullpen got clobbered with Robin Cooper, Toshikuni Kubo, and Pete Bonaddio surrendering 8 runs in the 6th inning.
