Talk about your front office blunders.
Jerry Raymond's was officially added to the 40-man roster and called up to the big leagues on September 3rd. That is unfortunately a misstep by the front office as has it happened just 4 days sooner, the young starting pitcher would be eligible for postseason play. Now, he must watch the team off the field.
The team will now transition to an 11 man pitching staff, with a 4 man rotation which would mean that if a game 5 becomes necessary, David Molina would likely be asked to head to the hill on short rest in what could quickly become a bullpen game.
The bullpen had not been one of Rosenblatt's bright spots but has improved considerably since the arrival of Cody Glynn and Ernesto Morales. If they can get the ball to Aaron Stevens and Candrata Parmar in the back half of the game, the team stands a chance to leave the field with the score the same as the way they took it. If those guys are on the mound, hopefully that means with a lead.
