"This is by far the biggest IFA class I've ever signed," said GM Brandon Slouck. "We wanted to cast a wide net and are hoping we get a couple useful players out of this. All of these guys will get the opportunity to prove themselves."

Nobody really sticks out in the class. Only one player has potential over 40/80 and that's Fateen Hamid with a 45. He looks like a balanced prospect who to this point won't really do anything great but could do everything decent. That's kind of the case for most of the other guys too. You just have to squint a little harder for them.

Still dealing with the financial fallout of cutting Aaron Haney prematurely, this route makes more sense. The franchise could have spent to it's cap on one player. But realistically, that one player probably has about the same chance of panning out as one of these 22 "lesser" prospects. Time will tell if this was the correct play for Rocky Mountain's first IFA class under the new GM.

Looks like a sound strategy. I blew my whole wad on a 9 range CF with 45 POT. Looking back on it I’d much rather have your 22 players, at least in a vacuum. I thought the middle class would be more competitive.

I do say in a vacuum because they’d all have to stay in my international complex for a while. The 20-35 POT guys aren’t really up to par with my position players who are generally at least 35 POT.

I generally just promote players when they're 18 regardless of POT unless they have pretty good current stats for their age. In that case, I'll promote them sooner. But ideally, my guys are at least a 35 when I'm promoting.

Looking at this last draft though, going all in on 9 range probably isn't the worst thing you could of done. It'll probably bump to 10 at some point at least for a couple years.

I think I like the strategy opposed to the on high POT guy who likely flames out anyway.

Ive had three important players/prospects lump from 9 range in the last year without any important bumps. It’s been a bummer, even if I know it likely all evens out in the aggregate. Don’t really care if a org depth guy went from 4 to 5 range.

I just started offering half to some of those guys the sim or two after everyone spend their money. And even if they countered, I'd offer the in between of the counter and my initial offer. Didn't always work but as you see, I got some cheap players.

It's been fun to watch guys use IFA this year. I started watching it closely for my Media Guide article, and I'm guessing I'll do a final feature on it Real Soon Now.

RMO has been a particularly interesting watch. As has been @Rubaboo in Mexico City. And @trmmilwwi in San Antonio.

A 26 year-old major league outfielder, a 21 year-old minor league infielder, and a 22 year-old minor league outfielder. I'm somewhere between snakebitten and hoarding in response.

26 y/o makes sense. I think when I had @RonCo's favorite player Wilson Andrade, his IF range dropped in his mid 20's. I kind of expect it happen around 25. 21 and 22 are a little harder to accept.
