While winning 100 games for the first time in franchise history is a great accomplishment, the overly fickle fans of the Rocky Mountain Oysters are tentative as the team moves into the post-season. Fans are already concerned that if the team doesnt win it all this season, the future is looking rough for many seasons to come.

While several key players such as Malik bin Mazin, Resurrection Santos III, Aaron Haney, Stephen Best, and Alaric Wullenweber are on payroll for a few more seasons, the Oysters are already pushing the salary cap for next season and will be needing to fill holes from several players that look like they will be heading to Free Agency.

Key pieces of the recent Oysters playoff teams that could be heading to Free Agency include IF Scott Torres, P Jamie Barber, and C John Adams.

Questions also remain for mid-season acquisition players such as RP Josh Dougherty, IF Pepe Espinosa, and IF Felipe Reyna. While Espinosa and Reyna are Free Agents at the end of the season, they have been key factors in the Oysters August/September push to the playoffs and its rumored that the Oysters' Front Office would like to keep them around. And while Dougherty has had a decent season with the Oysters, his $6M Team Option for next season seems like it could be used elsewhere. (Rumor does have it though that the Oysters will be picking up his Team Option but have already worked out a trade with another team for the big righty.)

When asked about his vision of next season's Oysters, GM Brett Golden had this to say: "That's a clown-question Bro! We've still got work to do before everyone goes home this season. Also, relax, of course I have a plan. The PlanĀ® is still in place and working quite nicely."

there can certainly be no complaints about the plan this season!
