The Morning Glory 2055.02 - Whose in Charge?

Before the players were even boarding the bus for their flight home to Colorado following their playoff loss to the Charm City Jimmies, Oysters Manager Júlio Chacón found himself without a job.

Replacing him was Manager Omar Sosa. Sosa didnt seem to fair too well in Colorado either, getting his pink slip after only 2 games of leading the Oysters.

GM Golden commented that Sosa was, "Rubbing the majority of pitchers the wrong way" as the reason he was let go.

Rumors had it that Golden was looking to rehire Chacón but that the interest was not mutual. So instead, the Oysters have hired Lorenzo Herrera to a 4-year contract to lead the Oysters. Herrera is an odd case as his only other previous coaching stint has been one year as the Pitching Coach for the San Angelo Missions (S A), and that was in 2050.

GM Golden seems to be willing to make sudden and bold moves this season in his quest to win the Brewster. We'll keep an eye out for whether or not these moves are good or detrimental to the team.
