The Morning Glory 2053.10 - Franchise Record!

In his first year as the GM of the Rocky Mountain Oysters, and with 14 games still left to play, GM Brett Golden has put together a team that has set the franchise record for wins!

The Oysters are currently sitting at 86 wins. The previous record for the 18-year old franchise was 84 wins, set back in 2050. Only 5 players from that 2050 team still remain on the Oysters 2053 roster. They include 1B Robert Chenoweth, 2B Ricardo Muñóz, MIF José Sánchez, C John Adams (who only suited up for 2 games that season), and SP Anthony Jones. The then-Chilis finished 3rd in the Frontier Division, but were 33 games behind the Division winner.

Chenoweth and Sanchez are leading the way this season along with a lot of newcomers. With 14 games left, and a seemingly easy strength-of-schedule ahead of them, the Oysters are starting to anticipate another franchise record - their first playoff appearance in franchise history (the infamous magic number currently sits at 6)!

Adams hits his first ARB year next season. Same with Munoz. Hernandez is still a decent, young, fairly cheap SP. Chenoweth and Sanchez are killing it this season. (Sanchez would be gone but I couldnt find a deal I wanted for him.)
