While the news may be old, it does not mean it shouldnt be mentioned and celebrated! With mid-July to early-August being such a busy time around the Oysters Front Office, the Oysters were amiss in not announcing their team members that were selected as All Stars this season. Gracing the All Star team in Oysters black and red were:

-- 1B Robert Chenoweth. Chenoweth is having a career year and is currently batting .330/.351/.637 with 37 doubles, 33 HRs, 113 RBIs, and 9 SBs.

-- 3B Malik bin Mazin. bin Mazin, brought over from Des Moines in the Cano trade, is currently batting .343/.396/.541 with 43 doubles, 16 HRs, 83 RBIs, and 84 Runs scored.

-- CL Jian-cheng Shi. Shi didnt start the season as the Oysters' closer but he remained consistent enough to work his way into the role. So far this season, Shi has pitched in 52 games for 54.1 IPs. Over that time he has gone 6-2 with 30 Saves, a 2.98 ERA, a 1.16 WHIP, with 37 strikeouts to 11 walks.

Not to be forgotten about, the Oysters also had two players in the BBA All Stars Futures game.

-- SP Micah Harrington is having a solid year in AAA and while his pitches still need a little more time to develop, Harrington has managed 114 strikeouts and 34 walks in 124 innings pitched.

-- 2B Anangam Goenka. Goenka projects more as a 1B in the BBA and by the time his power and eye potential finish filling in he should be a force to watch out for.
