In even more shocking news this morning, it has been revealed that the owner of the Charlotte Cougars has sold his rights to the team and has instead bought the BBA team in El Paso/Rocky Mountain.
The elusive 72-year-old, John "Ghost" Weber has been reported to have never stepped foot in El Paso and has already bought a small city in Colorado and is building a fortress there for his home. The city in question is reported to be Golden, CO.
This news makes the news of GM Brett Golden taking over the El Paso/Rocky Mountain team far less shocking as Golden is the grandson of the infamous recluse.
When we reached out for comment, the team said Weber had no comment. When asked about his grandfather buying him another team to run, GM Golden said, "So what? I did right by Charlotte and the fans there. Did okay in Nashville too. Now I plan on turning this franchise around as well."
